Hermit crabs and chameleons need different habitats.
Hermit crabs need a humid warm habitat with sand and coconut fibre for them to dig down in. They also need salt and fresh water in dishes where as chameleons don't like standing water.

Hermit crabs need glass enclosures with glass lids and need to be kept in groups
Chameleons do not do well in glass enclosures because it stresses them out. They also need to be kept alone

Chameleons need live food. hermit crabs are scavengers and will not eat live food. They need fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins not spoiled with insects. Insects annoy hermit crabs.

Mixing the animals will stress them both out. It would be better to get an enclosure for each animal

ive seen lighter ones at reptile shows. prehistoric pets is a good company, but i dont think that its worth buying, because it may not be genetic if youre looking to breed, which is the purpose for that specific animal, due to the lack of axanthic and albino animals. its probally just a light pattern, and itll never pass the genetics on to the babies. if its over 200 its not worth it, since you could get a captive born baby, which that is not, nor do you know the age, for at most 150.

1. Go to a good care site, like this one (http://tortoise.org/general/watcare.html), to check the basic care needs.

2. Sliders should spend a decent amount of time asking. Do you have a basking set up? Infrared or other warm light pointed at a good spot for the turtle to rest under?

3. Adjust temps based partially on behavior. The air temps might be too cool or too hot.

4. Shell flaking- loosing a scale or two at a time is not a big deal. Loosing a bunch of scales over a short period is a cause for concern- stress, poor diet, and some kinds of infection can cause that. Check http://www.anapsid.org/shellrot.html
